Karun H Sharma

Karun Hriday is a B.Tech. (Chem. Engg.-1974) from IIT, BHU-Varanasi and has a 43 plus years of experience in various manufacturing industries and management systems with leading business groups of Tata, Godrej, Bureau VERITAS, and FICCI.

Karun is a Certified Life Coach and Master Spirit Life Coach. He integrates his coaching skill effortlessly with his experience in manufacturing industries; ISO Standard based management system auditing/training organizations and thus positions proficiently as Management Systems Coach. He has designed and delivered consulting solutions to different client organization such as Sony India, Asahi Glass, Manjushree Technopak, York Prints, and Assorted Plastics etc. He communicates effectively and manages client relationship going extra mile to facilitate solutions that may require new tools and techniques.

 

He is a qualified IRCA approved Lead Assessor and Lead Tutor for ISO 9000, ISO 14000 and has additional expertise in ISO 45000, ISO 21001, ISO 17021, ISO 17024, ISO 17065, BRC-Global Standard for Food Safety-Issue 7, ISO 14064, ISO 14065 based Management Systems. He has been a member of ISO technical sub-committee CHD 34/ISO/TC207 with National body (BIS) and has been contributing effectively in drafting / modification of ISO Standards in the field of Environment.

 

He is actively involved as assessor and trainer with various Boards of Quality Council of India such as NABCB, NABET, and NBQP. He is a Trained Energy Auditor/Manager, ZED Master Trainer and a member of NOIDA Management Association, Association of Mumbai Coaches, Bombay Management Association, Institution of Engineers, and Indian Institute of Chemical Engineers etc.

He is a Qualified CDM Validator/Verifier and has >15 CDM registered projects besides 3 CER verification for CERs issuance with UNFCCC. As Head-CDM, at FICCI, he has contributed to various national and international conferences on Quality and Climate Change. He has attended various international Carbon Conclaves and Conference of Parties summits. He has conducted training programmes for CDM in Bangladesh, Bhutan, Nepal, Pakistan and Sri Lanka. He led a team of CDM consultants for conducting study on “Promoting CDM in SAARC countries” and published report “Promoting CDM in SAARC Countries – Feasibility Study” on 1.12.2009. He is on Meth Panel of UNFCCC as Roaster of Experts.

Karun has been a sportsman and invests significantly in social service. He was BHU Badminton Champion and was associated for Deaf Persons for many years. He organized National Chess Championship for Deaf in 1990 as Secretary General.
